Queuing is encouraged

There is a new national campaign to remind/suggest that people queue for things instead of mobbing. Apparently on the 11th of every month people are supposed to practice queuing. I will have to look out for this. The 11th was chosen because the two 1's are supposed to resemble two people queuing.

It will take awhile for them to reach the same queuing ability as Japan. I remember seeing about 50 people lined up single-file waiting for an escalator. (I took the stairs as it was only up about 2 stories.) I also was in a single file line up Mt. Fuji that probably extended a mile or so. Although, people did break form when they realized that the slower people in front of them were going to prevent them from seeing the sunrise from the top. At about 04:30 AM, it became a free for all.

China is a free for all most of the time. I had a woman try to cut me in the grocery store the other day. A guy a walmart tried to cut in front of me and three other Chinese people. Pretty odd behavior.
