Foul paint

China has the most foul paint I have ever smelled. They use some oil based paint that would never pass the US laws for volatile organic compounds (VOC). When I have been walking about 100 feet away from fences being painted outside I have almost been knocked down by the heavy solvent smells. I think the people who paint every day with the stuff must be brain dead. After a day of painting alkyd in the US I don't feel great, but it is nothing compared with the paint here.
